AXE Ceremonia 2024: The Billboard That Burst
A CGI billboard over Mexico City bursts open, flooded by hundreds of the festival's inflatable characters.
The challenge
Reveal the lineup of one of Latin America's leading alternative festivals with a fake out-of-home believable enough to share.
The idea
A volumetric billboard on a building in Cuauhtémoc, seen from street POVs and drone shots, deforms and breaks as hundreds of inflatables of the festival's characters pour out and spill across the street.
My part
Multi-object simulation of the inflatables emerging and spilling, and the destruction of the billboard. The studio produced three CGI pieces for the campaign (full lineup reveal, Save the Date and headliners); I worked on two.

Outcome
The characters were later built as real giant inflatables at the festival, so the piece previewed the festival's identity.
